INFORMATION
Pipe Organ Encounter is for aspiring keyboard players ages
13-18, who have achieved an early intermediate level of keyboard
proficiency. Previous organ study is not required. Special
consideration with regards to age and training may be allowed by the POE Committee on an individual basis.
HIGHLIGHTS
Daily activities include, but are not limited
to:
Daily lessons with outstanding faculty and ample practice time
Demonstrations and presentations
by faculty and guest artists
Social and recreational time
Attending an organ concert or other
event(s)
Final student recital
Make new friends and forge new relationships.

HOUSING
Students will be housed on the campus of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia.
Full-time supervision will be provided by the POE staff,
including chaperones each day and nighttime attendants. Contact numbers will be provided along
with registration confirmation.

APPLICATION FEES
Tuition is $350.00 for those registering by
February 15. After that, tuition is $400.00 for
those registering by the April 1 deadline.
Register early, as enrollment is limited. The fee includes lodging for five nights, all meals (including Sunday dinner and Friday lunch) , recitals and workshops, materials,
transportation to all events, and a one year student membership in the American Guild of Organists. Cancellations after April 1 will require a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations can be made after April 30.
A limited number of scholarships are available through the American Guild of Organists. Students may apply after January 15 and within two weeks after the application deadline of the POE they wish to attend. Please contact the POE Director (Tony Roof) for information. In addition, students should investigate the possibility of aid from their local AGO chapter, music organizations or religious institution.
